What is the maximum weight limit?The maximum weight for trail riding and lessons is 325 lbs.

Can my child ride with me?No. This activity is known as buddy riding, and we do not permit buddy riding. Both the rider and the horses are put in danger as a result of this. Every individual has their very own horse to ride.

What happens if it rains on the day of our ride?You have two choices available to you if you are booked for a ride on a day that it rains. You will either be given a refund of the deposit you made for your ride or given the option to reschedule it on another day.

Can I just show up and ride?No, we operate by appointment only. You can schedule your riding experience at www.soofaranch.com/bookonline

How many people can go out on a trail ride?We allow a maximum of 8 individuals in each time window that we have available.

Can I volunteer?Yes you can! Volunteer orientation is held the first Sunday of every month. Once you complete orientation you are free to volunteer as much as your schedule will allow. We are always in need of volunteers.

How long is the trail ride?Trail Rides typically last 60 minutes. You will have a preparation time to get acclimated to our riding style and then you will be taken on the trail. Depending on the pace of the horses it may last 45-60 minutes.

What is the minimum age?The minimum age to ride the trail is 9 year old. The minimum age to ride for the kiddie experience is 3 years old.

I have never ridden a horse before, do I need experience? Do I need to take lessons?Both the trails and the horses are suitable for novice riders. You will receive an impromptu introduction to horsemanship before to stepping out on the trail, so that you are familiar with how to control your horse. This involves making the horse go ahead, turning it to the left and right, and bringing it to a stop. After that step has been finished, you will be given the opportunity to get some practice in the arena before you really head out onto the trail.

I have a group of more than 20, is there a group rate?Larger groups may take advantage of our group discount. The group pricing is determined on an individual basis for each booking. The pricing for groups will vary depending on a few different criteria. We recommend giving the office a call to go over all of the particulars pertaining to your organization in order to improve our ability to assist both you and your group.
